How many personalities on the earth Born with transcendental form at their birth? How many doctrines popular on the lands Surviving the history by invisible hands? How much peace by their ringing bells Breaking through the dark between heaven and hell? How many unique and silent ones like you Living in such a world of rainbow hues? But occasional parties of stars Shining in the ages close or far But occasional parties of stars Shining in the ages close or far

Poems and Lyrics by Gordon Tseng (e-book page 111)

Illegal Dreamers In the dark of some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, You hide in a helplessly hopeful corner in a container heap. Behind the rusty gap of the locked iron door, you smile and peep, Imagining the torch of the Statue of Liberty is warming up your sleep. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Dreams are sailing to the land they long to see. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, There are boats of dreamers just like you and me. You believe what it is said, as you sow, so you reap. You will get a job, have a family, and even buy a big and fancy jeep. In the afternoon of summer, you will have some beer under a tree. Your lovely kids will play around you just like the dolphins leap. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Dreams are sailing to the land they long to see. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, There are boats of dreamers just like you and me. Though, you understand that the voyage of life is never easy and free, You still don’t know the land is that far and the ocean is that deep. Gradually you are aware that the air becomes too thin to breathe. Panicking, you search for the Lord’s mercy and feel like a lost sheep. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Dreams are sailing to the land they long to see. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, There are boats of dreamers just like you and me. You wonder why your dream is so expensive while others’ could be so cheap. Oh, why that brave and blessed Illegal immigrant on the May Flower wasn’t me? You dream about the world without countries, in which you don’t have to flee, And about your Promised Land which now you know you will never see. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Dreams are sinking before the world they long to see. Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Imagine John Lennon sinking in you and me.* Some night, somewhere on some unknown sea, Is the civilization sinking in you and me? - from Poems and Lyrics by Gordon Tseng (e-book page 305) *Please refer to the famous song, Imagine, by John Lennon

Back(阿卡貝拉版) 這首歌是將大國的<Back>和<He Is Looking for His Head>兩首詩組合而成的,前者用唱的,後者則是hip hop的部分。所以,有點嘻哈,也有點爵士... He is looking for his head Which lately never read. He is looking for his hands Longing to rock with the bands. He is looking for his life Once enjoyed by his wife. He is looking for his heart Trying to come back from the Mars. She is looking for her head Which lately looks dead. She is looking for her hand Longing to be taken to the wonderland. She is looking for her life Once cut by the love’s nife. She is looking for her heart That has eloped with art. No more tasks with that mask. He just wants the original self back To row a boat with the music flow And hip-hop into nowhere to go. Above the rocks, behind the woods, She just flies as far as the mind could To sing in the wind, dance on the green, Make the self pure and the soul clean. - from Poems and Lyrics by Gordon Tseng《曾國民的詩與歌》

Poems and Lyrics by Gordon Tseng (e-book page 161) I Will Give You a HUG I will give you a hug When you are as happy as a swimming duck. I will give you a hug When you look as cute as a naughty puck. I will give you a hug When you feel cold like a humble bug. I will give you a hug And a cup of hot coffee with my mug. I will give you a hug When all left in your pocket is only a buck. I will give you a hug When you really need some luck. I will give you a hug Whether your life is stuck or smug. I will give you a hug Even when you go to bed under the green grass rug.

God Bless Not Only America Wished a Merry Christmas - by Sharon and Gordon God bless the hungry, in Columbia or in Cambodia, in Europe or in Ethiopia. God bless all farmers, growing potatoes or tomatoes, bananas or papayas. God bless all bears, pandas in China, polar bears in Canada, or cola bears in Australia. God bless the buttons and the codes of nuclear weapons, in Arizona or in Siberia. * (verse) They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though they do have their own God, and Jesus. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though he might not enjoy their poor English with some awkwardness. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though many desperate corners are still helpless. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Which seems to want people to show human love and kindness. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Because his season’s shopping can bring them GDP stimulus. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though he has consumed most dreams while many others are still hopeless. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though he cannot guarantee his missiles always protect justice. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas And the Good Samaritan can send troops overseas as often as happiness. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Though the super power hasn’t found a cure for Mother Nature’s illness. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas Whose silent night at least could make the world noiseless and smokeless. * God bless all children, living in dismal land or in Disney Land, drinking dirty water or Coca-Cola. God bless all dreams, in the gun fire or through the digital wire, in Bollywood’s or Hollywood’s cinema. God bless all Gods or their wise friends, Laozi or Confucius, Muhammad or Buddha. God bless the whole planet. Our home, sweet home! Oh, my God, oh, our God, could you please bless all of us, not only America? * (verse) They wish Sam a Merry Christmas And a happy new year to find the way to the real universal righteousness. They wish Sam a Merry Christmas And, they believe that someday Santa Claus shall become equally generous.
